Job Purpose:Provide support in ensuring the procurement of works and/or services complies with corporate policies and regulations and specifically in accordance with the requirements/parameters and procedures as described in the Contracts procedure to achieve functional objectives. Achieve optimum value for money. Assist in generating contracting and tendering strategies plans to achieve the objectives of the end users functional needs. As a designated shared services provider for Al Dhafra Petroleum and Al Yasat Petroleum, all accountabilities, roles and responsibilities of the position shall be applicable to both companies.Key Accountabilities
In liaison with Specialist-Contracts, generate contracting and tendering strategies/plans to achieve the objectives of the end user's functional needs.
Support in appropriate bid strategies and thereafter execute the approved strategies. Assist the tendering process to identify suitable bidders for each proposed tender. Prepares bidders lists, evaluation methodologies and award strategies to Tender Committees.
Coordinating pre-bid meetings, site visits and clarification requests with bidders. Where necessary liaise with bidders/suppliers as well as Company's legal, finance and other appropriate functions and provide responses to bidder's contractual clarification requests.
Support in preparation of award recommendation proposal and route the recommendation for endorsement and approval.
Prepare Contract documents for execution and arrange signing by contracted parties.
Assist the end user on Contracts Administration aspects.
Bachelors degree in any Engineering Discipline Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
3 - 5 years of experience in development of high value and complex tenders and contracts, within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
Technical understanding of preparation, reviewing and finalising various contracts and tendering process.
