MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLETo collect data, and ensure its accuracy, from various relevant systems which go in preparation of the tax returns and support the reporting manager to manage compliances with Indirect Tax legislations in the required jurisdictions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Retrieves necessary details from various systems required for filing returns and compliance with regulations.
• Assists in preparing VAT return supporting schedules and documentation required by Tax Authorities.
• Supports system enhancements and process re-engineering related to VAT implementation.
• Prepares tax refund application forms and submits transaction lists with supporting documents to the tax authorities.
• Conducts month-end close of VAT nominals and regularly reconciles VAT nominal accounts.
• Reconciles customs declarations with the import of goods, from a taxation perspective.
• Ensures transactional records and documents are stored and maintained for quick response to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepares reconciliation of Indirect Tax accounts and schedules for the auditors.
• Tracks common errors and collaborates with relevant teams to address them.
• Stays informed about changes in relevant legislations and consults with the reporting manager to take necessary actions.
• Participates in the improvement of controls and processes for the indirect tax function.
