Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator with a medical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of medical terminology and healthcare operations. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Office Administration:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling appointments, handling correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.

- Oversee the reception area, greet visitors, and manage incoming calls.

- Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for staff.

2. Medical Records Management:

- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

- Handle medical billing, coding, and insurance claims processing.

- Manage the electronic health record (EHR) system and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

3. Patient Coordination:

- Assist patients with scheduling appointments and answering queries.

- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up appointments.

- Ensure patient forms and documentation are completed accurately.

4. Support to Medical Staff:

- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and clinical staff.

- Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and correspondence.

- Assist in the preparation of medical charts and documentation for patient visits.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in office administration, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.

- Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing, and coding practices.

- Proficiency in office management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Education:

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Management, or a related field preferred.
