Job Title: Ocean Freight Forwarding Sales Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Ocean Freight Forwarding Sales Representative to join our logistics and freight forwarding team. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and delivering tailored ocean freight solutions to meet client needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development:
• Identify and prospect new customers in need of ocean freight forwarding services.
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Present and promote ocean freight solutions to potential clients.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
• Understand client logistics requirements and provide customized solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Market Analysis:
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Provide insights on pricing strategies and market demands to the management team.
• Operational Collaboration:
• Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and other partners to optimize logistics solutions.
• Sales Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance and forecasts to the management team.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with all international and local regulations related to ocean freight forwarding.
• Assist in preparing contracts and documentation for freight forwarding agreements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in sales, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of ocean freight forwarding processes, regulations, and documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred.
