The Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing plant operations during the assigned shift at the power plant. This individual is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the contracted availability of power to customers and managing the performance of all plant operations teams and systems. The Team Leader reports directly to the Plant Manager under Team Leader supervision, collaborating closely with the Operations Manager and contributing to various tasks and projects directed by Plant Management to uphold the overall performance of the plant. The CRO (Control Room Operator) serves as the primary point of contact at the CCR (Control Room Center) for day-to-day operations and emergency contacts with Tanweer dispatch and ODG port facility. Responsibilities Proactively participate in PRISMECS health, safety, and environment program. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations applicable to the power generation plant industry. Act as the PTW Authorized Person, reviewing all PTW and LOTO procedures before team activities begin. Take charge during emergencies following company ERP Emergency Preparedness and Response protocol. Report and communicate incidents, accidents, injuries, environmental violations, equipment failures, and other events requiring immediate action during the shift. Collaborate with HSE, complying with their directives or guidelines. Supervise all O&M staff during the shift, ensuring compliance with procedures, policies, and regulations. Protect and ensure the correct operation of plant facilities and equipment during the shift. Operate SCADA, HMI, OSI Pi, Protection and Control Systems in compliance with established procedures and Power Agreement requirements. Prepare and comply with established reports and CMMS system, ensuring accuracy of information. Operate SCADA, HMI, OSI Pi, and other systems to monitor plant performance, identify issues, and report to plant and maintenance management. Execute preventive routine inspections and coordinate routine and corrective maintenance with the Maintenance Management department. Identify improvement opportunities and follow up on projects. Ensure staff compliance with safety instructions and work procedures. Participate in Root Cause Analysis and provide relevant information. Housekeeping. Adhere to energy conservation guidelines and environmental regulations. Communicate and coordinate with Tanweer dispatch and ODG port facility during the shift. Manage fuel in accordance with local regulations, Power Agreement requirements, and international standards. Contribute to team effort and support other areas of the plant. Perform other duties assigned by superior. Qualifications Engineer Degree in mechanic or controls. 3 years of work experience in Power Generation Plants using TM2500 gas turbines technology with emphasis on generation 8 units. GT operation and troubleshooting knowledge and experience. Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Knowledge. Knowledge and experience in working with ERP systems (CMMS Fiix Rockwell Automation). HSE General Knowledge. PTW and LOTO extensive knowledge. English proficiency (writing, reading, and speaking). Personnel management and leadership skills. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 (a plus).
