DAWEC is a joint-venture company (ENGIE and Nareva) carrying the project of a desalination plant with a capacity of 112 m3 / day of desalinated water, coupled with a 72 MW wind farm, located in the Dakhla region (Bir Anzarane). 37 million m3 of water per year will be mainly used for agriculture (80%) and the rest for potable water for Dakhla. Job Purpose: The O&M Director oversees the operations, maintenance, and performance optimization of a combined desalination and wind energy site. The role ensures efficient plant operations, asset integrity, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations while maximizing production efficiency and minimizing operational costs. This includes aligning operations with shareholder expectations, managing HSE risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, minimizing operational risks, safeguarding the well-being of employees and the environment, and maintaining high performance standards across all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities: Construction and Commissioning Operations and Performance Management Maintenance and Asset Management Health, Safety and Environment Team Leadership and Development Stakeholder and Regulatory Management Education: University Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering. Additional qualifications and registrations would be advantageous (HSE, project management, finance, business management). Experience: 10 15 years of project and site experience in desalination projects. Good knowledge desalination technology ( reverse osmosis ) and associated technical and contractual understanding. Experience in Africa would be advantageous. knowledge of wind power plant will be a plus Knowledge and Skills:

Strongly autonomous, possesses leadership and influential qualities. Highly analytical and capable of leading complex procurement projects. Experience in complex negotiation. Experience in negotiation of construction and O&M contracts Project Management experience, PMI or equivalent. Outstanding people leadership/management/ communication skills.

Business Understanding:

Good understanding of negotiation and construction projects Desalination, Power Plant knowledge is compulsory Location & Travel: Location: Dakhla, Morocco Travel locally and occasionally abroad
