Job Summary The Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department within GluCare. They will supervise and manage a team of nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the adherence to clinical standards and best practices. The Nursing Manager will collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and provide a positive working environment for the nursing team. Duties and Responsibilities
Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and enforce nursing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Staff Management & Team Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage nursing staff and oversee scheduling and task assignments. Coordinate patient care teams, including in-clinic and home health services; ensure quality care standards.
Patient Support: Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families; establish patient care goals.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data on patient care and develop action plans based on feedback and trends.
Equipment and Budget Management: Maintain patient care equipment and supplies; manage budget and expenditures.
Infection Control: Develop and implement infection control policies; ensure compliance with health regulations.
Quality Metrics and Improvement: Maintain and report quality metrics; utilize KPIs to improve patient experience and outcomes.
General Employee Security Access: Adhere to policies protecting information assets and follow access privileges for EMR and patient information.
Security Violations: Report actual or suspected security and/or policy violations to IT.
Admin Security Access: Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies; assign information classification and determine access criteria.
Safeguards and Procedures: Employ appropriate safeguards to protect information assets; document and disseminate procedures for consistent information security.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing or a related field (required)
Valid nursing license and registration (required)
Minimum of 8 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role (required)
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of nurses
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Proficient in computer skills and electronic medical record systems
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other healthcare professionals
Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality care
