Job Title : B.Sc Nurse

Location : Nursery (Kids Nursery)

Job Summary :

The B.Sc Nurse at the Nursery is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children attending the nursery. The nurse will monitor students' health, provide first aid, manage illness, maintain health records, and promote health education to children and staff. The role also involves collaborating with parents and staff to address any medical or health concerns.

Key Responsibilities :

• Health Monitoring and First Aid :
• Conduct daily health checks and monitor children for signs of illness or injury.
• Administer first aid and care for minor injuries or health issues.
• Manage emergencies by assessing the situation and taking appropriate action, including contacting parents or emergency services.
• Medication Management :
• Administer prescribed medications according to the children's health care plans, ensuring parental consent is in place.
• Keep accurate records of medication administration and monitor potential side effects or allergies.
• Health Assessments and Screenings :
• Carry out routine health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) as required by nursery policy.
• Identify potential health problems early and refer to specialists or other health care providers as needed.
• Infection Control :
• Promote and implement infection control practices, such as proper handwashing and hygiene among children and staff.
• Manage outbreaks of infectious diseases in collaboration with local health authorities.
• Health Education :
• Provide health education sessions for children, teaching them about basic hygiene, nutrition, and safety.
• Educate staff on topics such as first aid, handling allergies, and proper responses to health emergencies.
• Record Keeping and Reporting :
• Maintain and update children's health records, including immunization records, allergy information, and medical histories.
• Prepare reports on health incidents, accidents, and medical care provided to children.
• Parental Communication :
• Communicate with parents regarding any health concerns, treatment administered, or any changes in their child's health.
• Offer advice and guidance on children's health issues and collaborate with parents on long-term care plans for specific medical conditions.
• Nursery Health Policies :
• Assist in developing and reviewing nursery health and safety policies.
• Ensure that all health protocols, such as food handling, cleaning, and safety procedures, are followed by staff.
• Collaboration with Staff :
• Work closely with the teaching and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to the children's well-being.
• Provide training and advice to staff on handling children's health issues, first aid, and emergency response.
• Emergency Preparedness :
• Be prepared to handle health-related emergencies by keeping up-to-date with the latest protocols and procedures.
• Ensure emergency kits and first aid supplies are always fully stocked and accessible.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing).
• Valid nursing license in the UAE.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm in emergency situations.
• Empathy and care when dealing with children and their health needs.

This role is crucial in ensuring that the children at Daffodils Nursery remain safe and healthy throughout their time at the facility.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
