Job Description
University Health Services (UHS) is an outpatient center fully accredited by the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) and is committed to addressing all aspects of healthcare such as physical health, mental health, wellness and health education to all students, faculty members and staff to promote and improve the health of the AUS community. Our Nurses perform a wide range of nursing duties such as preparing patients and their files for medical examination, checking vital signs, administering medications and maintaining medical records.Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct medical care to all patients.
- Prepare necessary equipment for and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Administer medication as prescribed.
- Sets priorities and handles emergency situations.
- Accompany patients to hospital for further evaluation and management.
- Provide 24 hours on call response to emergency calls from campus residents.
- Prepare daily statistical reports.
- Maintain medical records and ensure all patients encountered are entered on to the online system daily.
- Attend activities hosted by other departments as requested to supply on-site medical care if required.
- Adhere to the Ministry of Health\'s rules and regulations.
- Attend lectures and CME\'s required by the Ministry of Health.
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times ensuring medical health records are not released without the written permission of the patient, except as required by law.
- Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing
- Ministry of Health License
- UAE Driving License
- A minimum of four years\' relevant experience in Outpatient and Emergency Department
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential. Arabic skills would be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
