SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE

The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing the revenue and expense transactions, which occurred during the day at the hotel.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Posts room charges and taxes to guest accounts.

2. Processes guest charges voucher and credit card vouchers.

3. Posts guest charge purchase transactions not posted by the front office cashier.

4. Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.

5. Verifies all account postings and balances. Monitors the current status of coupon, discount, and other promotional programs.

6. Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office statistics.

7. Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities. Summarizes results of operations for management. Prepare of End of day procedure.

8. Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).

9. Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.

10. Knows how to operate PMS, typewriters, and other front office equipment's.

11. Understand and knows how to perform check-in and check-out procedures.

12. Ensure to print out outstanding checkouts for the day and liaise with Night Manager for inquiry and action. Also ensure no shows are charges as per policy without fail.

13. To verify all daily paid outs, refunds, for guest signatures, rebates and corrections are in line and document and notify discrepancies to Income Auditor on log book.

14. To ensure service charge and Municipality fees are in balance with the revenues

15. To print and compare Housekeeping report get it reviewed and approved by Night Manager and rectify if required.

16. To be able to perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the Manager.

17. To attend the mandatory External and Internal training and follow the company training policy.
