Role Summary:

New Installation Elevator Technicians are responsible for the proper installation, testing, and commissioning of new elevator systems. They work closely with a team of professionals to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of newly installed elevators. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.


Position Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install new elevator systems, including assembling and installing components, wiring, and controls according to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of newly installed elevator systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues and malfunctions during the installation process, utilizing diagnostic tools and following appropriate procedures to rectify problems promptly.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams to determine the most efficient and accurate installation approach.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals, including engineers, project managers, and other technicians, to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth installation processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards throughout the installation process, ensuring the highest level of safety for both technicians and end-users.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of installations, inspections, and repairs, including documenting any changes or modifications made during the installation process.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining the installation process, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project.
• Provide training and support to clients and end-users on the proper operation and maintenance of newly installed elevator systems.
• Stay updated with the latest industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to elevator installations, attending training sessions and workshops as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
• Proven experience as an elevator technician, preferably with a focus on new installations.
• Strong knowledge of elevator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and control components.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment or components.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
