Network Security Engineer We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. The Network Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our organization\'s computer systems, networks, and data. This role requires strong technical expertise in network security, as well as the ability to stay updated on emerging threats and technologies. The Network Security Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security vulnerabilities, implement solutions, and monitor for potential breaches. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses in the network infrastructure and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor network traffic for signs of suspicious activity and respond promptly to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are implemented effectively and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies, and make recommendations for improving network security posture.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of network upgrades and expansions, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into the design.
- Provide guidance and training to IT staff and end users on security best practices and procedures.
- Maintain documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Act as a point of contact for security-related inquiries and incidents, both internally and externally.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or CEH are preferred.
- Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security principles.
- Hands-on experience with firewall administration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and network access control technologies.
- Proficiency in network security tools and technologies, such as SIEM platforms, packet sniffers, and vulnerability scanners.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI DSS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
