Job Description

:

We are seeking a talented Naval Architectural Draftsman to join our dynamic team. As a Naval Architectural Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of marine vessels, structures, and offshore platforms. You will collaborate closely with naval architects and engineers to transform conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD or similar software based on rough sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by naval architects and engineers.
• Produce accurate and clear technical drawings for ship structures, hulls, systems, and equipment.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and project requirements.
• Collaborate with other draftsmen, engineers, and designers to resolve design issues and incorporate feedback.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and mark-ups from project stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of material lists, bill of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring version control and traceability.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and technological advancements in naval architecture and shipbuilding.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a draftsman or similar role, preferably in naval architecture, shipbuilding, or marine engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, or other CAD software used in naval architecture.
• Solid understanding of drafting techniques, engineering terminology, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of naval architecture principles, ship design, and marine structures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Degree or diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or relevant field is preferred.
