MWD Engineer shall perform the following responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Setting up and operating MWD tools and surface equipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensures that BHA\'s are assembled as planned including correct make-up torque, doping and handling.
- Reports daily operations to MWD/ LWD Coordinator if at rig site.
- Ensures that equipment used is fit for purpose. Report non-conformances when observed.
- Managing job requirements for tools, spare parts, etc.
- Identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact.
- Familiarizes with and assists in checking all equipment before it is sent to a job and arrival on site.
- To produce all necessary paperwork whilst running equipment and document all equipment for return
- To provide advice and analysis to the client representative at the work site.
- Produce end of well reports.
- To attend and report all relevant job findings
- Helps in workshop / office as directed by MWD/ LWD Coordinator and perform other related duties as required.
- Assist in the training of new recruits.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of tool revisions and related software upgradesREQUIREMENTSSKILLS AND COMPETENCYQualified candidates should possess the following skills and competencies:
