The Murex FO Business Analyst will be required to be part of GM IT FO Squad responsible to provide IT services to Global Markets team. The squad is responsible for support, change request and projects pertaining to Global Markets. Key responsibilities of the role include engaging with business, conducting analysis, developing requirements, reviewing technical and functional design, building and testing solution, and ensuring proper closure of the different initiatives by taking ownership/accountability end to end.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Analyze and document user requirements into Functional Specifications.
• Liaise with Global Markets teams, IT, and vendors.
• Engage with business discussions to translate needs into project initiatives.
• Define system and data requirements; validate design and processes.
• Develop and refine business, functional, and testing requirements.
• Configure solutions as per requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Murex tools in the Front Office.
• Create test plans and cases; conduct system testing.
• Assist in user training through guides and presentations.
• Coordinate with vendors for support on bugs/issues.
• Ensure smooth handover of projects and changes to relevant teams.
• Help develop business and operational processes and training materials.
• Support business and quants focusing on pricing and models.
Requirements
FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
• Postgraduate degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 5-7 years relevant experience in a Bank or IT Company.
• Proven stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and banking solutions.
• Knowledge of Global Markets products: pricing, risk management, accounting, and settlements.
• Technical proficiency with banking systems and processes.
• Experience in liaising with stakeholders for business requirements and testing processes.
• Strong numerical skills and ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years as Murex Front Office Business Analyst
• Extensive experience in setting up and validating Interest Rate Curves, including ARRs
• Expertise in at least 2 asset classes like IR derivatives, Equity, Commodity, FX, or Structured Derivatives
• Strong skills in pricing, valuation, risk management, and sensitivities for exotic products
• Proficient in Murex FO Modules (e.g., E-Tradepad, Livebook, P&L Notepad)
• Familiarity with Flex API, Pricing API, VaR modules is a plus
• Experience in leading and delivering projects
• Knowledge of Murex v3.1 for front office capabilities
• Solid understanding of Capital Markets and product implementation in Murex
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication
