The Engineering Supervisor at City Plaza Hotel will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel premises. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the work of the engineering team, including maintenance technicians and other staff members.
• Plan and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the hotel.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards pertaining to building maintenance and operation.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders.
• Provide training and guidance to engineering staff on best practices, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front office, to address guest requests and ensure a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role in building maintenance or engineering operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
• Availability to respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours.
