PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Mortgage Advisor plays a pivotal role as the liaison between Mortgage Sales Leads, clients, Banks, and PSI Support departments, ensuring the accomplishment of mortgage department sales targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
A) Mortgage Operation:
• Utilize initiative and creativity to identify strong potential prospects, generating lead opportunities.
• Confidently engage in proposal preparation, professional product demonstrations, and face-to-face meetings.
• Source and attract prospective buyers from the market, facilitating their conversion to mortgage clients.
• Offer high-quality, impartial mortgage advice, elucidating various available mortgage types.
• Maintain a broad understanding of the financial services industry and pertinent knowledge.
• Assess clients' needs and financial capabilities to propose suitable solutions.
• Guide clients through negotiation processes, providing consultation on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements, and related matters, ensuring fairness and honesty.
• Understand customer requirements and propose effective mortgaging solutions aligned with their investment goals.
• Manage end-to-end mortgage registrations, including document collection, financial analysis, report preparation, and execution of mortgage payouts.
• Maintain communication with banks to remain updated on policies and procedures.
• Conduct ongoing market research to monitor mortgage trends and competitive rates, ensuring optimal client service.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance in all mortgage transactions.
• Compile and prepare necessary documents such as financial records, bank forms, KYC, and other required documentation.
• Ensure efficient delivery of properties and services to clients.
• Utilize provided system access for all transactions, transaction leads, and updates, reporting regularly.
B) Mortgage Reporting:
• Provide daily reports on call volume, meetings, assigned leads, updates, and potential buyers.
• Generate daily sales reports on signed deals.
• Produce weekly reports on sales lead generation sources, including lead updates.
• Prepare monthly achievement versus target reports.
C) General:
• Take the lead in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) matters to ensure safe working conditions.
• Perform any other duties as required or assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A. Educational Requirements / Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance or a relevant field.
B. Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker, preferably in the banking sector.
C. Skills and Competencies:
• Proficient understanding of banking mortgage or real estate brokerage services, terminologies, procedures, and processes.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance abilities.
• Effective and concise communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in negotiation, both verbal and written.
