Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile App Technical Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our mobile application, including testing, commissioning, and ensuring smooth operation. This role requires a thorough understanding of mobile app development, quality assurance, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the app meets performance standards.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution.
• Perform manual and automated testing to validate app functionality and performance.
• Commissioning and Deployment:
• Manage the deployment process of the app to various platforms (iOS, Android).
• Ensure that all pre-launch activities are completed and that the app is ready for release.
• Coordinate with development teams to implement fixes and improvements.
• Technical Support:
• Provide technical support for the mobile app, addressing user issues and inquiries.
• Monitor app performance and user feedback to identify potential issues.
• Work with the development team to implement solutions for technical problems.
• Maintenance and Updates:
• Oversee regular app updates and maintenance activities.
• Ensure the app remains compatible with the latest versions of operating systems.
• Implement new features and improvements based on user feedback and market trends.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed documentation of the app's technical specifications and testing procedures.
• Prepare regular reports on app performance, testing results, and user feedback.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the development team to understand the app's architecture and functionality.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to ensure the app meets user expectations.
• Liaise with external partners and stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in mobile app testing, commissioning, and technical support.
• Strong understanding of mobile app development processes and technologies.
• Proficiency in using testing tools and software (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with both iOS and Android platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, or React Native.
• Understanding of app store submission processes and guidelines.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a startup or tech company.
