Key Responsibilities:
• Drink Creation & Menu Development:
• Design and create innovative cocktails that reflect the latest trends or align with the establishment's theme.
• Develop seasonal or signature drink menus, ensuring that they use high-quality ingredients and offer unique flavor profiles.
• Experiment with new ingredients, flavor pairings, and techniques to continuously enhance the drink selection.
• Customer Service & Interaction:
• Engage with customers to understand their tastes and preferences, providing personalized drink recommendations.
• Deliver a high level of service, creating a memorable experience for guests through skillful drink preparation and presentation.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with patrons.
• Preparation & Mixing:
• Accurately measure and mix ingredients for cocktails, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
• Use specialized tools and equipment, such as shakers, strainers, muddlers, and garnishing tools.
• Maintain a high level of efficiency, especially during busy hours, while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
• Inventory & Stock Management:
• Oversee inventory of liquor, syrups, mixers, and garnishes, ensuring that all necessary supplies are on hand.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, making recommendations for reordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, ensuring that everything is stored properly and easily accessible.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure that all alcohol-serving laws and regulations are followed, including checking IDs and avoiding over-serving.
• Promote responsible drinking and adhere to all safety protocols regarding alcohol consumption.
• Training & Mentorship:
• Train junior bartenders or other bar staff in mixology techniques and proper cocktail preparation methods.
• Share knowledge about new trends, techniques, and ingredient sourcing with the bar team.
• Presentation & Ambiance:
• Pay attention to the presentation of drinks, including glassware, garnishes, and the overall look of the cocktail.
• Set the tone and atmosphere of the bar by adjusting lighting, music, and other elements to create an enjoyable environment for guests.
• Customer Satisfaction:
• Address customer concerns or special requests promptly, ensuring satisfaction with the drinks and overall experience.
• Actively listen to feedback and adapt to customer preferences to improve service.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience: Proven experience in bartending or mixology, typically 3-5 years.
• Knowledge of Cocktails: Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, as well as an understanding of spirits, liqueurs, and mixers.
• Creativity: Ability to create innovative and unique cocktails that reflect both trends and guest preferences.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in measurement, mixing, and presentation.
• Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with guests.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to maintain a clean, organized bar area and manage inventory effectively.
• Mixology Techniques: Proficiency in shaking, stirring, muddling, and garnishing, along with knowledge of advanced techniques like infusions, molecular gastronomy, and barrel aging.
• Knowledge of Food Pairing: Understanding of how certain cocktails can complement or enhance food offerings.
