You will be responsible for delivering Speech and Language Therapy services for children and young adults aged between 1 year and 19 years.
In this role, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess and meet the needs of children and adolescents attending the centre. This work will require planning, evaluating, organising, and conducting speech and language therapy programs to facilitate children with diverse communication needs, including language delay, language disorder, autism, global developmental delay, social communication difficulties, speech disorder, and hearing impairment and dysfluency.
As part of the SLT team, you will administer speech and language evaluations and assessments, develop treatment plans, monitor progress for each child on his/her caseload and promote a functional, clinical approach to intervention, encompassing educational attainment, participation in the education experience, life aspirations and general well-being. The position requires independent clinical judgment, well-developed communication skills, and the ability to work well with co-workers and families of clients.
Requirements:
A degree in Speech and Language therapy.
Registered with a professional body such as RCSLT.
Native English speaker only.
A minimum of two years of experience working with children and young people. Adult experience also desirable but not essential.
Good interpersonal skills.
Robust organizational and prioritization skills.
Strong understanding of caseload management.
Extensive experience in carrying out one to one and group therapy.
