Job Description

Middleware Administrator role is responsible for managing and optimizing our middleware infrastructure, which is critical to ensuring seamless communication and integration between various applications, services, and systems across the organization.


In addition, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to maintain and support the performance, security, and reliability of middleware solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our enterprise applications are well-supported, efficient, and scalable.


Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance and Support

• Performs necessary systems maintenance in accordance with best practices and Company change management policies.
• Performs the application deployment for all the assigned projects as per the defined release management process.
• Install, configure and maintain software components classified as middleware on multiple operating system platforms
• Configure production, development and testing environments and ensure availability of these application services.
• Exhibit Strong understanding of J2EE application deployment patterns and n-tier architectures.
• Assist production support and development staff in debugging middleware application defects, design, document, and enforce processes
• Assist in providing continual active improvements for middleware services including research, planning, and implementation of service upgrades and enhancements.
• Investigating middleware and integration issues to provide resolution and to develop root cause analyses which will support maintenance improvement and upgrade planning.

Infrastructure Management

• Automates routine procedures. Maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of links.
• Responsible for daily operations and all new requirements related to VMware setup.
• Administer web servers for smooth operations and business continuity.
• Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting the daily backup solutions
• Manage and maintain the VSS, ADS, proxy server for daily operations
• Performs necessary systems maintenance in accordance with industry best practices and emaratech's policies and procedures
• Define and document ongoing administration and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences / IT / Engineering
• Minimum 3-4 years of progressive experience in software development
• Design/Engineering experience in Websphere suite of products such IBM WAS
• General understanding of RDBMS/Networking & Security concepts
• Exposure to monitoring tools like but not limited to HP Open view, App Dynamics, CA Wiley, Nagios, Java Melody etc
• Profiling of application using tools like but not limited to Yourkit, JProfiler etc
