About the Role
We are expanding our team with passionate individuals who have a proven track record of bringing new technologies to market and are committed to making our world safer and smarter. We're seeking skilled and experienced Microservices Developers to join our team in developing and maintaining our enablement software platform for AI cameras, mobile and web apps, and third-party integrations.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying microservices to enable platform features and functionality. You will also play a key role in achieving security certifications for our platform, including working with the team to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Smarter AI product management and development teams to transform product requirements into software solutions.
• Design and develop scalable and secure microservices and REST APIs to enable Smarter AI cameras, mobile and web apps, and third-party integrations. Document our REST APIs; automate and scale our tests.
• Monitor and optimize microservices performance to ensure efficiency.
• Conduct security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and work with the team to implement necessary fixes. Participate in our security certification process, including preparing documentation and coordinating with certification bodies. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in microservices development and security.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate our microservices with camera and mobile libraries and third-party services.

Experience

• 5+ years developing scalable microservices.
• 2+ years developing scalable microservices for commercial camera, IoT, and/or telephony devices.
• Thorough knowledge of computer science, including:
• Concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems programming in C++ and Java.
• Data communication, TCP/IP, and socket programming in C++ and Java.

Skills

• Microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Java build tools (e.g., Gradle, Maven).
• SQL and NoSQL database programming.
• Cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, automation).
• Security assessments and certifications.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technologies in simple, concise terms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED24,000.00 per month
