Nada Biological Laboratory is in search of a highly skilled Food Microbiologist with specialized expertise in water analysis to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and quality of food products through good and water analysis Responsibilities: 1. Conduct comprehensive analysis of water samples using established methodologies to detect and quantify microbial contaminants accurately. 2. Employ a range of microbiological techniques, including culture-based, conventional methods and kit tests, to identify and characterize microorganisms present in water samples. 3. Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for water sample collection, processing, and analysis to maintain consistency and reliability in results. 4. Prepare detailed reports documenting microbiological findings and interpretations, ensuring clarity and precision in communication. 5. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address any food safety and quality concerns related to water sources, providing expert insights and recommendations. 6. Maintain the cleanliness, functionality, and safety of laboratory equipment and facilities, following all applicable protocols and regulations. 7. Stay abreast of advancements in food microbiology and water analysis techniques through continuous professional development and literature review. 8. Apply food microbiology principles to assess the potential impact of waterborne pathogens on food safety and quality. 9. Perform microbiological testing of food samples, including microbial enumeration, and pathogen detection, to ensure compliance with safety standards. 10. Evaluate the microbiological quality of ingredients, finished products, and environmental samples to identify and mitigate potential sources of contamination. 11. Prepare and maintain microbiological media, ensuring proper preparation, sterilization, and storage to support laboratory testing activities. 12. Monitor and manage stock levels of laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring adequate inventory for ongoing testing needs. 13. Update and maintain documentation related to internal quality control (IQC) procedures, including calibration records, proficiency testing, and equipment maintenance schedules. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in food microbiology, with a specific focus on water analysis. Proficiency in a variety of microbiological techniques, including microbial culturing sequencing, and an ISO:17025 certification . Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts effectively. Strong team player with demonstrated collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
