To lead the team of Merchandiser Supervisors and Merchandisers to ensure resources are utilized efficiently and effectively to deliver on in-store visibility objectives and maintain smooth in-store operations, while talent is being developed to better serve the brands and the customer. Responsibilities
Manage Resources Effectively & Efficiently Set a journey plan for Merchandiser supervisors that delivers on the coverage target assigned and based on business need. Ensure Merchandiser supervisors are following the journey plan with discipline. Ensure Merchandising resources are utilized efficiently, identify opportunities to utilize resources better, and opportunities to improve coverage, as long as the return on investment is justified. Deploy/Manage any potential additional Event Resources (provided on exceptional basis) in an efficient and effective manner. Plan Merchandiser supervisors leaves in a way to avoid overlapping, and have a replacement plan if needed. Build Merchandiser Supervisor Capability Ensure merchandiser supervisors classroom training is conducted on basic brand knowledge as well as other skills required for the job like communication, negotiation, managing a team etc... Ensure Merchandiser supervisors have the right on boarding program including clear job description, KPIs, responsibilities & accountabilities. Provide on-the-job training for merchandiser supervisors in the field by shadowing them and providing feedback. Spend a minimum of 2 hours daily on Merchandiser supervisors on-the-job training based on aligned journey plan. Merchandiser Supervisor Career & Development Evaluate Merchandiser Supervisor performance on frequent basis by providing action plan and feedback through the Manager Feedback Tool (at least 1 feedback/day to be given). All Merchandiser Supervisor should have a performance review conducted at least once a year. Store Service Level Agreements Ensure Service Agreements are signed with each store, stating the service commitments from our side to customer and vice versa. This includes merchandising support, delivery support, replenishment schedule etc... Track execution of service agreements by store and highlight any discrepancy to channel head. Enable Merchandiser Supervisors to deliver Quality In-Store Execution Deploy to supervisors the yearly corporate agreement by customer and the monthly initiative agreements by store. Through the supervisors, ensure all agreement elements are executed across all stores both on-shelf, off-shelf and across all multi locations. Maintain compliance tracking of all agreement elements and report to SDO team on frequent basis all discrepancies in execution vs agreement. Deliver Competitor Reports Share Competitor activity report on monthly basis with the sales and business development team. Activities to capture include new launches, off-shelf displays and promotions, new POSM, pricing, leaflet inserts, planogram changes etc. Qualifications
Graduate / post graduate in Business administration or any related field Minimum 1-3 years' experience in sales
