Position Purpose
The Merchandizing Operations & Animation Manager is responsible for leading the strategic process for B&M and online animations and activations. He/She will be owning the end to end process for sampling and gifting, instore animations and online brand activations.
Key Accountabilities
• Lead the strategic process for merchandizing operations
• Navigate cross functional teams and structure to drive merchandizing animation online and offline
• Manage process improvement and streamlining workflow on gifting, sampling and merchandizing operations for instore animations
• Plan and execute yearly calendars for animations, sampling, gifting and other category lead initiatives
• Oversee end to end process for gifting and sampling across Ecom and B&M internally and externally
• Lead operational conversations with Merchandizing leadership team to create yearly strategic plan for gifting for CRM, KCP's, Thematics, Brands and Ecom
• Manage seasonal/promotional markdown operations for merchandizing
• Manage and mentor director talent, oversee and manage broader team of specialists.
• Oversee, direct and manage teams that execute animations for B&M and online
• Create and strategically lead communication of Animations and Activations across the organization
• Manage animation and Ecom calendars
• Communicate effectively and in timely manner on all animation, activations and operational changes to internal and external stake holders
• Secure brand assets for online distortion in line with merchandizing strategy
• Collaboration with Ecommerce, Supply Chain and marketing team to ensure timely implementation of all deliverables
• Lead cross category product assortment, collaborating with Merchandising, Marketing and Inventory Planning leadership and working teams.
Communication & Reporting
• Circulate monthly the animation and activation book
• Share monthly animation and activation overview by category for online and B&M
• Track and share monthly animation installation updates with stores
• Liaise and cooperate with all different functional departments ensuring timely and proper execution of animations, activations, exposures and thematics (online and offline)
Management & Leadership
• Provides guidance and direction to team, including setting performance KPIs and monitoring performance
• Identifies development needs of the team and coaches/helps to improve their knowledge and skills
Skills, Experience and Personality
• 3-5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Marketing
• Operationally savvy
• Strategic and creative thinker
• Thrives in ambiguity
• Client centric
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Comfortable presenting to senior leadership
• Team player
• Great people manager
