The MEP Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across various project sites. The MEP Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across various project sites. The ability to travel to different locations as required is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, and plumbing systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on MEP systems.
- Ensure all installations and repairs meet industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Repair or replace defective components and equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Technical Support:
- Assist in planning and executing new installations and system upgrades.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other technicians and contractors.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure projects are completed according to specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Document changes and updates to MEP systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance and service activities.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing duties.
- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and standards.
- Travel:
- Travel to various project sites using company vehicles or own transportation.
- Ensure timely arrival at sites to perform scheduled tasks.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and clients.
- Customer Service:
- Interact with clients and stakeholders professionally and courteously.
- Address client concerns and provide timely solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and service.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in MEP systems preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an MEP Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in the installation and repair of MEP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driving license and clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working in various physical positions, including standing, bending, and climbing ladders.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
