We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FM (Facility Management) Technical Trainer to design, deliver, and enhance technical training programs for facility management teams. The role requires a deep understanding of building systems, maintenance, and related technologies to ensure facility teams are well-equipped with the technical skills needed to manage and operate facilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
Design, create, and update training content and materials focused on the technical aspects of facility management, such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems.
Technical Training Delivery:
Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops for staff to enhance their technical knowledge and skills in various building systems and maintenance procedures.
Skill Assessment:
Evaluate the proficiency of employees in technical areas and provide feedback to ensure skills are up to date.
Equipment Training:
Provide detailed training on the safe and effective use of technical equipment, including monitoring systems, building management systems (BMS), and other facility maintenance tools.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all technical training aligns with industry standards, safety regulations, and facility management best practices.
Continuous Learning:
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in facility management technologies and methodologies and integrate them into the training programs.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and report on employee progress and training effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and recommend further training or interventions as necessary.
Collaboration:
Work closely with facility managers and other department heads to identify training needs and customize programs for specific teams or roles within the facility.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, certifications, and evaluation outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
Certification in Facility Management (Certified Facility Manager - CFM, LEED) or related technical certifications.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in facility management, with a strong technical background in building systems, maintenance, and operations.
Experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
Proficient in using facility management software and technical systems.
Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of facility systems and maintenance.
Ability to design and deliver engaging and effective technical training.
Good communication and teaching skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations in facility management.
