The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance, operation, and repair of all MEP systems within the facilities managed by the company. This role requires a strong technical background in MEP systems, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of building systems.
Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
Lead a team of MEP technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Delegate tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair activities.
Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability among the team members.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Oversee the regular maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in various facilities.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
Troubleshoot issues with MEP systems, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
Generate reports on the status of MEP systems, highlighting any issues, recommendations, or improvements needed.
Collaborate with the management team to prepare comprehensive reports for clients and stakeholders.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Collaborate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors to source materials, spare parts, and services as required.
Ensure that contracted services are delivered according to agreed-upon terms and standards.
Review quotations, negotiate prices, and make recommendations for vendor selection.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all MEP work is completed in compliance with established industry standards and company guidelines.
Monitor the performance of MEP systems and equipment to identify potential areas for improvement and efficiency enhancement.
Budget Management:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets related to MEP maintenance and repairs.
Monitor expenditures and control costs to ensure budget adherence without compromising on quality and safety.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on local regulations, codes, and standards related to MEP systems and ensure company-wide compliance.
Work closely with relevant authorities and agencies to ensure that all MEP systems meet regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years work experience in UAE in a MEP/Contracting/Construction company
Diploma or Degree in Engineering Electrical/Mechanical
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a diverse team and collaborate effectively.
Proficiency in computer applications related to maintenance management and reporting.
Knowledge of Dubai\'s building codes and regulations is highly desirable.
