• On-Site Supervision:
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems as per project drawings and specifications.
• Monitor the daily progress of MEP work and coordinate with MEP contractors, technicians, and other trades to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure that MEP activities comply with safety standards, quality requirements, and project schedules.
• Material and Equipment Handling:
• Ensure that all required materials and equipment for MEP installations are available on-site.
• Assist with managing the inventory and reporting shortages or delays to the procurement team.
• Supervise the proper storage and handling of MEP materials to prevent damage.
• Quality Assurance & Control:
• Perform regular inspections of MEP installations to ensure they meet the required quality and safety standards.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the Senior MEP Supervisor or project manager and follow up on corrective actions.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of MEP quality control documents and reports.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance:
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and ensure that the site team follows the same.
• Conduct daily safety checks on-site to minimize accidents and hazards.
• Assist in conducting safety training sessions for the MEP team and ensuring that all workers use the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Team Coordination:
• Coordinate with other site teams (civil, structural, etc.) to ensure there are no conflicts between MEP work and other construction activities.
• Assist in assigning tasks to technicians and laborers, ensuring efficient use of manpower.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and help resolve technical issues on-site.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain daily reports of MEP work activities, including manpower, material usage, and progress.
• Assist in updating project logs, including site conditions, work completed, and delays.
• Report on work completion to senior management and help in the preparation of progress reports.
• Troubleshooting:
• Assist in troubleshooting MEP system issues and provide solutions as required.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve any technical issues that arise during the project.
Key Requirements:
• Education:
A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
2-3 years of hands-on experience as an MEP Supervisor or in a similar role within the UAE construction industry.
• Skills:
• Basic knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing).
• Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of local UAE construction regulations and safety standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with different site teams.
