We are seeking an experienced MEP Site Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in interior fit-out contracting projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and a solid understanding of their integration into interior fit-out projects. The MEP Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising the MEP installation work on-site, ensuring that all activities are carried out according to project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines.
This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to manage MEP contractors and sub-contractors, and the capability to coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• MEP Site Supervision & Coordination:
• Supervise and manage the installation of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, etc.) on-site in compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other site engineers, architects, designers, and subcontractors to ensure that all MEP work integrates seamlessly with the rest of the project.
• Ensure that all MEP systems are installed per the approved shop drawings, technical submittals, and project specifications.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Perform quality checks to ensure that all MEP installations meet the required standards, regulations, and specifications.
• Ensure that the materials used in MEP systems are of the specified quality, checking for conformity with the project requirements.
• Review and approve work completed by subcontractors and take corrective actions where necessary to resolve issues related to quality and compliance.
• Ensure that all MEP systems and equipment comply with local regulations , including health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
• Ensure that all MEP work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards related to MEP installations.
• Promote a safety-first culture, and ensure that all workers and subcontractors are following the required safety procedures.
• Ensure that the installation of MEP systems adheres to all relevant environmental guidelines , including waste management, noise reduction, and sustainable practices.
• Project Progress & Scheduling:
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure that MEP works progress according to the overall project schedule.
• Review and update daily, weekly, and monthly site reports, highlighting the status of ongoing MEP activities.
• Assist in preparing project schedules and manage the allocation of resources to ensure timely completion of MEP work within the allocated project timelines.
• Address delays and challenges promptly, escalating issues to senior management as needed.
• Subcontractor & Material Management:
• Supervise and manage subcontractors performing MEP work on-site, ensuring they follow safety protocols, quality standards, and schedules.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of MEP materials and equipment, tracking usage and ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Maintain a log of materials, tools, and equipment on-site, ensuring that all MEP installations are completed with the required components.
• Technical Support & Problem-Solving:
• Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors and on-site workers during installation and testing of MEP systems.
• Resolve technical issues that may arise during the installation of MEP systems and ensure they are addressed promptly to avoid project delays.
• Conduct site surveys to identify any discrepancies between design drawings and the actual site conditions, proposing solutions to address any issues.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of MEP installations, including site progress reports, inspection logs, and material tracking sheets.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting any concerns or progress updates related to MEP works.
• Document and report any deviations from the approved plans or scope of work, including cost variations or changes to project specifications.
• Testing & Commissioning:
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring all systems are functioning as per specifications.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure that all MEP installations pass inspections and meet local authority requirements .
• Assist in the handover of the completed MEP systems to the client, ensuring that all documentation and as-built drawings are provided.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience:
• 5-10 years of experience as an MEP Site Engineer or similar role in the interior fit-out or construction industry in the UAE.
• Strong experience in MEP installations for large-scale fit-out projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, etc.), including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and other systems.
• Education & Certifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering , Building Services Engineering , or a related field.
• Professional certifications related to MEP systems or construction management (e.g., LEED , NEBOSH , PMP ) are desirable.
• Skills & Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems design , installation, and testing.
• Proficiency in MEP software (e.g., AutoCAD , Revit , HAP , ETAP , or other MEP-specific tools).
• Strong project management and scheduling skills with experience in coordinating large teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with the project team, subcontractors, clients, and authorities.
• Language Skills:
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Other Requirements:
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred for site visits and coordination with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unforeseen technical challenges on-site.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
