Job Profile Quantity Surveyor is a mid-level position at Al Saheeh Group, where the employee will be involved in the design, estimation and management of projects. The work will primarily be office based but if required the employee will be requested to be at the site. Responsibilities
Prepare the Tender as per Consultant or Regulatory Body Design and create B.O.Q with pricing details.
Work with the teams to design the MEP Systems as per Regulatory, Consultant and Client requirement, matching product specifications.
Conduct site visits to understand the scope of work for projects and understand measurements
Takeoff quantities to prepare the Tender pricing and documentation as per Consultant or Regulatory Body Design and create B.O.Q with pricing details.
Create estimations of awarded projects based on materials rates, labour costs and other associated costs working together with Design and Accounting teams
Liason with DM, DEWA, DCD, RTA and other regulatory, government departments for approvals, NOCs and other required documentation.
Conduct and implement value engineering assessments for awarded projects
Support Design team to create engineering drawings.
Perform risk and value management, including cost control during a project.
Ensure site work is up to internal quality standards, and ensure project meets Regulatory Authority, Consultant and Client specifications and standards.
Review contractual documentation and provide advice on contracts, claims and disputes.
Manage office-based teams through work assigned and other necessary tools, coordinate and monitor progress of work to ensure timely progress of assigned tasks.
Monitor site progress and subcontractors through work reports provided; and in comparison, to planned, scheduled, and completed work, noting down use of tools and materials and safety violations if any.
Note down any changes that occur at site with respect to design, site revisions or site requirement and present it to the responsible parties in a timely fashion to make sure that no errors are present.
Qualifications
Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent
Previous experience in commerical and residential construction for minimum 3 years
Experience and knowledge of NFPA, DCD, DM, DEWA regulations
RICS memberships (Not Mandatory)
Software Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite
Microsoft Project or Primavera or Similar
AutoCad or Similar
