Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP works, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with project requirements and financial constraints.

Tendering & Procurement:

Analyze tender documents and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for MEP components. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgetary considerations.

Contract Administration:

Administer MEP contracts, including preparation of interim payment applications and final accounts. Assess and manage variations, claims, and change orders related to MEP works.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP services. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all MEP-related financial transactions and contractual correspondence. Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Experience:

5-6 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying within the UAE construction industry. Proven track record of managing MEP costs on large-scale construction projects.

Skills:

Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of standard methods of measurement (e.g., POMI, CESMM). Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and local construction regulations.
