Job Summary:

As an MEP Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our projects by providing expert cost management services for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects. You will be responsible for accurate cost estimations, contract administration, and cost control, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for tendering purposes, ensuring all MEP components are accurately quantified.
• Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or functionality.
• Analyze tender submissions and negotiate favorable contracts with subcontractors.
• Manage and administer contracts with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Monitor and track project expenditure against the budget, identifying any potential cost overruns and implementing corrective measures.
• Manage and resolve contractual disputes, including claims and variations, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor and control the cost of MEP works throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
• Prepare regular cost reports for clients, highlighting progress, variances, and potential risks.
• Implement cost-saving measures, such as value engineering or alternative material selection, while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep everyone informed of project progress and any potential issues.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/ Electrical or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of UAE experience in MEP Quantity surveying or similar role, preferably within a consulting or contracting environment.
• Proven experience in providing a full suite of MEP cost management services, including pre-contract estimating, procurement, contract administration, cost reporting, and final account resolution.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, including design principles, installation methods, and materials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
