We are looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi office. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quantity surveying and cost management specifically within the MEP contracting sector UAE. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
• Evaluate and analyze tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Prepare and submit accurate cost proposals and budgets for MEP projects.
• Monitor project costs and track variations to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess work progress and verify quantities for interim valuations.
• Prepare and manage bills of quantities, cost plans, and other financial reports as required.
• Assess and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations and agreements.
• Identify and quantify any changes or variations to the original scope of work and assess their cost implications.
• Support the project team with cost-related advice and recommendations to optimize project value.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing contractual documents and claims, ensuring compliance with project specifications and conditions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve cost-related issues and disputes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the MEP contracting industry in UAE.
• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and related cost estimation.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction laws and standards.
• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, AIQS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, such as:
• AutoCAD (for reviewing and understanding drawings)
• Revit (for BIM-related tasks)
• CCS Candy or CostX (for cost estimation and quantity take-offs)
• Candy
• MS Project or Primavera P6 (for project scheduling and cost management)
• Microsoft Excel (for creating detailed cost analyses and reports)
