: Junior MEP QS Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Junior MEP QS (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Quantity Surveyor) Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying within the UAE construction industry. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency in project cost estimation and control.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and project budgets.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements for MEP installations.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare tender comparisons.
• Monitor project costs and budgets, tracking variations and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Collaborate with project teams to assess and manage commercial risks.
• Prepare progress reports and financial forecasts.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and variations with clients and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience as a MEP Quantity Surveyor in the UAE construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and cost management principles.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software AutoCAD, and MS Office applications.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
