Ohana Developments, a leading real estate developer in the UAE, is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience in MEP construction projects, with a strong background in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and bill of quantities (BOQ) preparation. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and proficiency in MEP systems and construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine project requirements.
• Prepare detailed BOQs and cost reports in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate prices to achieve competitive bids.
• Monitor project costs and variations, identifying potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Maintain accurate records of quantity surveys, cost data, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide timely reports and updates to senior management on project financials and cost projections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE.
• Proven expertise in quantity takeoff, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation for MEP projects.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
