Job Description

QA/QC Engineeer in MEP construction background with 8-10 years of experience in UAE.

• Responsible for development, implementation and monitoring of company's Quality management system both at Site and Offices.
• Preparation of Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with ISO 9001 & as per contractual requirements
• Responsible for preparation of method statement, inspection test plans, check list & commissioning dossier.
• Coordinate with Main Contractor's Quality Representative on all quality matters.
• Distribute relevant QA/QC documentation to Site Subcontractors
• Organizing and coordinating Quality Inspections through the Quality Control Engineers / Inspectors as per the Inspection & Test Plan, and Quality Inspections with all subcontractors & Vendors.
• Ensuring approved materials & equipment are received at site.
• Ensuring installation of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing services as per approved method statements, drawings & project specifications.
• Revising & updating Inspection & Test Plan
• Conducting Internal Audits on all disciplines of the project at Site and, in offices.
• Control of shop drawings & contract drawings
• Conducting Site Inspections and ensuring all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-built handover.
• Control all nonconformance reports and undertake remedial action.
• Responsible for conducting on job training program to Technicians.
• Preparation of work instruction, quality procedure, Quality plan for electromechanical works.
• Monitoring Vendor Rating & Vendor Assessment.
• Responsible for Completion of Quality Dossier for mechanical, electrical & plumbing works upon completion of project.
• Preparation of operation & Maintenance manual upon completion of project.
• Providing TBT on required quality standards to Workmen/Supervisor/Engineer involved in work execution.
• Providing MEP clearances to ongoing Civil works at Site and ensure necessary applicable MEP Services are installed and WIR signed off.
• Preparing required Reports on Quality / Material / Site constraints, etc.
• Issuing internal quality observations to the Engineer / Supervisor upon finding deviation from required Quality Standards.
• Issuing internal snag to Site team and ensure the same is addressed.
• Coordinate and ensure the end-user training.
• Assisting Project Manager in all Site activities.
• Any other works assigned by the Project Manager or the Company Management as and when required.

Working Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• At least 5 Plus years of experience in MEP project
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in construction quality assurance/quality control, and management Implementing QA/QC management system at site and monitor activities to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Ability to Verify quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
