Develop and manage the MEP project schedule, ensuring all tasks and milestones are completed on time.
Collaborate with project teams (design, procurement, construction) to ensure project objectives are met.
Review and approve MEP designs and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
Team Management:
Lead, manage, and mentor MEP teams (including engineers, contractors, and technicians).
Coordinate and supervise the work of MEP subcontractors to ensure they follow safety and quality standards.
Budget Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked and controlled.
Review material and labor costs, and make adjustments to stay within the project's financial constraints.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Monitor installation of MEP systems to ensure they are completed to the highest quality standards.
Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and standards for MEP installations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess quality, safety, and progress.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks related to MEP systems and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
Resolve any issues related to MEP systems that arise during construction.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain communication with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders regarding project progress.
Provide regular status reports on the project's MEP systems, highlighting issues, milestones, and timelines.
Documentation & Reporting:
Ensure proper documentation of MEP designs, contracts, change orders, and reports.
Maintain accurate records of project meetings, inspections, and approvals.
Post-Construction Support:
Oversee the commissioning and handover of MEP systems to the client.
Provide post-construction support for MEP systems, addressing any issues that arise after project completion.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in MEP project management or in a related field in the construction industry.
Experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects is preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes.
Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit).
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex situations.
In-depth understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Certifications:
Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, PE, or similar) are a plus.
Work Environment:
This position typically works in both office settings and on construction sites.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is essential.
