Job Summary: The MEP Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades on construction sites. This role ensures that all MEP work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The MEP Foreman works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other site personnel to deliver successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities:Supervision and Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate the work of MEP trades, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing teams.
Ensure all work is performed according to project specifications, plans, and local codes.
Schedule and manage day-to-day operations of the MEP teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with project requirements.
Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
Implement and enforce quality control measures and procedures.
Safety Management:
Promote a safe working environment by adhering to and enforcing safety policies and procedures.
Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for MEP personnel.
Ensure all safety regulations are followed and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
Assist in the development and updating of project schedules.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status, changes, and any issues.
Resource Management:
Manage and monitor the use of materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available and in good working condition.
Coordinate with procurement teams for timely delivery of materials.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, time sheets, and progress reports.
Prepare and submit reports to project managers on a regular basis.
Document any changes to project plans or specifications and communicate these to relevant parties.
Problem Solving:
Identify potential problems or obstacles and develop solutions to overcome them.
Resolve conflicts between team members or trades promptly and effectively.
Address technical issues by consulting with engineers or other experts as needed.
