Job Responsibilities:
Expected Start Date: 01/06/2024
- Evaluate bid packages to cover all trades mainly mechanical disciplines - HVAC, Firefighting and Plumbing. Electrical discipline knowledge is a plus.
- Good Hands on experience on HAP, ducting and piping design.
- Having adequate design and estimation experience in Restaurants, Hospitals, Offices and Villa projects.
- Very good in CAD for all MEP streams, Planswift and Microsoft office products
- Knowledgeable of local construction labor/material costs, legal requirements and code compliance Review drawing.
- Arranging for and attending site visits; prepare detailed visit report and attending clarification meetings with client.
- Attending pre-bid meetings.
- Specifications, statement of work and other construction documents to determine material, labor requirements and prepare itemized lists;
- Review/complete all quantity take-offs for projects ranging from conceptual estimate to definitive estimate.
- A very good knowledge on MEP design for overall estimation and costing. Excellent grasp of engineering and design principles
- Generate bid proposal based on plans, documents and drawings, and provide time and material pricing for general trade work;
- Revise the costing for the post tender clarifications received.
- Prepare the BOQ for final submission to the Client.
- Perform value engineering and estimate reconciliation activities to bring project price within client s budget;
- Strong relation with Mechanical vendors for procurement details and unit selection
- Analyse change orders under contract scope of work and evaluate extras/credits accordingly;
- Preparing Project Risk Analysis report.
- Solicit subcontractors to obtain the best bids; Develop, validate and ensure that all subcontractor s take-off and pricing are accurate and complete;
- Work with operations in creating construction schedules and sequencing logic.
- Conduct studies to establish standard cost data and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems for ongoing projects and ability to perform bid estimating and cost management analysis.
- Preparing Submittals and prequalification documentation.
- Bachelor degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma
- With at least 4 years work related experience in an Electromechanical or Industrial company in estimation.
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer having exposure, knowledge and experience in working of MEP Services.
- Proven Track Record on completing projects.
- Overall 4 years experience, out of which minimum 2 years in Middle East in well-established MEP companies.
- Employment Contract duration shall be for minimum 2 years (renewable)

- Highly detailed and organised in work.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish tasks.
- MS Office Packages.
- Mechanical Estimation: 3 years (Required)
- Overall Experience: 4 years (Preferable)
- DM (Preferred)

- Have u independently estimated and won projects of more than 7 million AED?
