Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive MEP estimates (Electrical & Plumbing). Perform quantity take-offs, pricing, and cost estimation for all electrical and plumbing systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, LV systems, water supply, drainage, and fire fighting. Coordinate with design and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of estimates. Prepare and submit RFIs to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies in tender documents. Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations to ensure accurate pricing and technical compliance. Prepare cost comparison sheets and recommend value engineering options where applicable. Assist in preparing tender submission documents including BOQs, cost breakdowns, and technical proposals. Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings, as required. Keep updated records of historical data, market rates, and pricing trends. Support the handover of awarded projects to the execution team with detailed cost analysis and budget breakdowns.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 5-7 years of experience in MEP estimation, with specific focus on Electrical & Plumbing systems. Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and local codes/standards. Proficient in estimation software. Familiar with tendering procedures, contract conditions, and value engineering. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: AED14,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
