Job Description

Moon Way General Contracting is recruiting a MEP Engineer minimum 2 to 5 years required in UAE experience in MEP construction projects, with a strong background in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and shop drawing preparation . The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and proficiency in MEP systems and construction methodologies to immediate join our team!

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for MEP projects, including material quantities, labor requirements, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Conduct thorough analysis and review of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
• Collaborate with the bid management team to develop competitive bids for MEP projects. Ensure accuracy and completeness of bid documents, including pricing schedules, bill of quantities (BOQ), and cost breakdowns.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms. Evaluate supplier proposals and select the most suitable options based on cost, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize cost efficiencies without compromising project quality. Propose alternative materials, systems, or construction methods to reduce costs while maintaining performance standards.
• Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction phase. Identify potential cost overruns or deviations from the initial estimates and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed estimation reports, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and justifications. Generate accurate and timely reports for project stakeholders, management, and clients as required.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to MEP estimation. Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through self-learning and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical (Mandatory).
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in MEP estimation, preferably in the UAE construction industry.
• Preparation of Shop Drawings knowledge from MEP related work
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
