Position: MEP Engineer - Mechanical Base

A mechanical engineer plays a crucial role in every construction project. They are responsible for designing and supervising the construction of machinery, systems, and equipment essential for the construction process.

The mechanical engineer plays a crucial role in designing, constructing, and implementing mechanical systems within the field of construction. Their expertise spans various disciplines including engineering mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing. The contribution of mechanical engineers significantly impacts the outcome of construction projects, underscoring their indispensable knowledge and proficiency.

Mechanical engineers are also tasked with creating processes for the manufacturing and assembly of these items. They carry the responsibility of guaranteeing the safety and compliance of the equipment with all legal standards.

Responsibilities:

• Review designs (A/C, Fire Fighting, Drainage, Water, LPG) submitted by the consultants and make sure that they are as per the latest standards.
• Ensure that purposed designs are in compliance with the latest energy efficient design criteria.
• Propose alternative design solutions to render the projects viable and within allocated budget.
• Review material submittals.
• Review the payments related to mechanical works.
• Review the progress of the mechanical works at site.
• Inspect the quality of the works and make sure it is as per ADCE standards and requirements.
• Ensure that mechanical structures are designed, installed, and commissioned on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 Years or More Experience. UAE Experience is a must.
• Must have High Rise Experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies.
• Sound/ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience working with commercial or civil construction projects.
• Senior level relationship building skills and communication skills.
