Job description / Role

The MEP-HVAC Engineer will take responsibility for the various project's operations MEP Project /Maintenance requirements - designing, installing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, ensure that day-to-day tasks are undertaken and lead a team of engineering service supervisors and technicians in tandem with specialist systems vendors (Subcontractors)

The role requires a degree of flexibility and hands on technical completion of planned and project operations / maintenance.

The Operations engineer is expected to complete the manual labour within this unique defined job description. Developing relationships with client clinical key stakeholders is key to the success profile of this role.

Key Accountability

Provide technical support to the project on all Facilities Systems, site visits, Estimation, Technical evaluation etc. for MEP/HVAC projects

Design and develop HVAC systems for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Perform load calculations and energy analysis to optimize system performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems. Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues to ensure efficient operation. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers on system design. Conduct regular maintenance and recommend system upgrades as needed. Stay updated with advancements in HVAC technology and sustainability practices.
Support the Project /Maintenance activities of the department by providing specialist engineering knowledge and advice, associated with the full range of building services.

Undertake Authorised Person (AP) duties for Facilities systems.

Prepare and provide management reports in a timely manner as and when required Provide and prepare estimates and quotations for project works as and when required Preparation of competency assessment and issuing of standing Instructions

Plan, coordinate, execution of project work and supervise in house staff, consultants and specialist service contractors on the building services.

Coordinate with external parties regarding the project requirements

Carrying out risk assessments and develop Method Statements to ensure all operatives and tasks are carried out safely

Provide analysis and comment technically upon maintenance feedback from both in-house and specialist service partners

Maintain good and harmonious relationships with the client, tenants and visitors and respond to any complaints promptly. Any issues to be reported to the helpdesk.

All work is to be performed as per HSE regulations, municipal by-laws, government legislation and Building codes.

Whilst the holder will take primary responsibility of the Facilities systems on site, they should be conversant with, and understand, the complete working of the MEP systems as per project requirements.

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

3+ years' experience in MEP (HVAC) projects engineer role

IT and MS office skills

Ability to work to tight deadlines in a demanding environment.

Society of Engineering (UAE) membership required document to be arrange by candidate

Certificate attestations to be completed as per municipality exams in UAE

UAE driving license is mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Expected Start Date: 31/03/2025
