Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer specialized in Plumbing and Fire Fighting design to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent proficiency in Revit and Building Information Modelling (BIM), and a deep understanding of plumbing and fire protection systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Develop detailed plumbing and firefighting system designs, including layouts, schematics, and calculations.

Ensure designs comply with local codes, regulations, and international standards.

Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and material selection.

Revit and BIM Management:

Utilize Revit and BIM software to create and manage detailed 3D models of plumbing and firefighting systems.

Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.

Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements and timelines.

Attend project meetings, provide technical support, and address design-related issues.

Oversee installation and commissioning of plumbing and firefighting systems onsite.

Quality Assurance and Control: o Conduct regular reviews and quality checks of design documents and BIM models.

Implement and adhere to company quality assurance standards and procedures.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Proficient in Revit and BIM with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of local and international building codes and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Preference will be given to candidates from Consultancy firms.
