Job Description

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in various electromechanical and electrotechnical projects. This includes working on the integration of these systems within large infrastructure projects such as buildings, industrial plants, and other complex facilities. The role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with other teams to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development:
• Develop detailed MEP system designs (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) based on project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (local, national, and international).
• Perform load calculations, energy consumption assessments, and system integration studies.
• Design heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
• Project Management & Coordination:
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure MEP system integration within the overall building design.
• Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of MEP systems, ensuring all work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Review and approve shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Installation & Supervision:
• Oversee the installation of MEP systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
• Supervise MEP teams and subcontractors, providing guidance on installation procedures, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Provide technical support during the maintenance phase, ensuring systems are running optimally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MEP systems during construction and post-construction phases.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all MEP installations meet local, regional, and international codes and standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of installations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures and assist with the preparation of quality assurance documentation.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, design documents, system manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Provide regular updates to project managers on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
• Assist in preparing operation and maintenance manuals for MEP systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Professional certification or registration (e.g., LEED, PMP, PE) is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in the MEP engineering field, preferably within the electromechanical or electrotechnical industry.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects such as commercial buildings, industrial plants, hospitals, etc.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
• Familiarity with energy-efficient design and sustainable engineering practices.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, etc.).
• Understanding of building automation systems (BMS) and integration of electromechanical systems.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for interaction with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• 4 Years of UAE Experience is a must.

Work Environment:

• The position will involve both office-based design work and field-based site visits, inspections, and coordination.
• Travel may be required to project sites depending on project needs.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required when visiting construction sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
