Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated MEP Engineer to join our electrotechnical company. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for managing the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of electrotechnical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning:
• Design and integrate MEP systems for electrotechnical projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Prepare and review detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications for MEP systems.
• Coordinate the design with other engineering disciplines to ensure project integration.
• Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems on-site.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve any on-site MEP issues or challenges.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Ensure that all MEP installations are carried out according to design specifications and industry best practices.
• Perform testing and commissioning of MEP systems and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Prepare and review documentation for final project handover, including operation and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize MEP design and systems integration.
• Coordinate with external consultants, government authorities, and clients to meet project specifications.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss progress, changes, and technical issues.
• Maintenance & Support:
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for installed systems during the warranty period.
• Assist with the planning and execution of regular maintenance of MEP systems.
• Identify opportunities for system improvements and energy-saving solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., LEED, PMP, etc.) is a plus.
• years of experience in MEP engineering, particularly in the electrotechnical or electrical industry.
• Strong knowledge of MEP design principles, building codes, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other design tools.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient systems, renewable energy technologies, and sustainability practices.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements relevant to MEP systems.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with electrical systems design (low and high voltage).
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS).
• Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes and tools.
• Knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in MEP systems.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position with standard office hours [or as per project needs].
• Willingness to travel to project sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
• Occasional work in challenging environments and under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
