Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MEP Engineer to join our engineering team. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a variety of building projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and an in-depth understanding of the MEP systems' design and execution.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure that MEP systems are integrated efficiently, meet regulatory requirements, and are completed within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development : Develop and prepare detailed designs and specifications for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
• System Integration : Ensure proper integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural designs.
• Project Coordination : Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of MEP systems in compliance with design requirements.
• Compliance & Standards : Ensure all MEP installations adhere to relevant local codes, regulations, and standards. Conduct necessary inspections and reviews to ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
• Cost Estimation & Budgeting : Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for MEP system installation and maintenance projects. Monitor and control project budgets and timelines.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving : Provide technical support and resolve any issues related to MEP systems during installation, commissioning, and operation.
• Testing & Commissioning : Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure they meet performance requirements and function as designed.
• Documentation & Reporting : Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, specifications, and as-built records.
• Maintenance & Upgrades : Recommend and oversee ongoing maintenance, upgrades, or replacements of MEP systems as needed to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with the design team, construction teams, and other engineers to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MEP Engineer, with hands-on experience in designing, installing, and maintaining MEP systems.
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other MEP design tools.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.), and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with energy-efficient design and sustainable building practices (e.g., LEED).
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems design, and commissioning.
• Project Management : Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
