The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient design, coordination, installation, and commissioning of MEP systems for various interior fit-out projects in Dubai. The role requires a deep understanding of local regulations, codes, and standards, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Design and Planning:Collaborate with the design team to develop MEP systems that align with project specifications, client requirements, and local regulations.
Prepare detailed MEP design layouts, drawings, schematics, and calculations using relevant software tools.
Conduct site surveys to assess existing MEP conditions and gather necessary data for project planning. Coordination and Collaboration:Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems within the fit-out project.
Participate in coordination meetings to address potential clashes, conflicts, and design issues and propose solutions. Material and Equipment Selection:Identify and specify appropriate MEP materials, equipment, and systems that meet project requirements and align with industry best practices.
Evaluate bids and proposals from vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Regulatory Compliance:Stay updated with local regulations, codes, and standards related to MEP systems in Dubai and ensure that all designs and installations are compliant.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities for MEP installations. Installation and Supervision:Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring that work is carried out as per approved designs and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety of MEP installations. Quality Assurance:Implement quality control procedures to ensure that MEP installations meet the highest standards of workmanship and functionality.
Address any issues or deviations from the approved plans in a timely manner. Budget and Schedule Management:Collaborate with project managers to develop MEP budgets and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion and cost control. Documentation:Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to MEP design, installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
Prepare reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation for project records. Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of proven experience working on MEP systems in fit-out projects in Dubai.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai\'s construction regulations, codes, and standards related to MEP systems.
• Proficiency in MEP design software and tools.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional engineering licensure (preferred but not mandatory).
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
