Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems in line with the requirements of MEP projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, electrical design software, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Engineering:
• Design and develop electrical systems and layouts for MEP projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and backup systems.
• Prepare electrical load calculations, single-line diagrams, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Conduct electrical system analysis and select appropriate components (e.g., transformers, generators, switchboards).
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Coordination and Collaboration:
• Work closely with mechanical and plumbing engineers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and contractors to meet project milestones, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams during installation and commissioning phases.
• Quality Assurance and Control:
• Conduct site inspections to ensure that electrical installations meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Monitor ongoing system performance and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare comprehensive reports, including technical specifications, test results, and system performance reports.
• Maintain detailed records of electrical design, calculations, and modifications.
• Ensure that project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all electrical systems are designed and installed in compliance with safety standards and local regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and ensure proper risk management measures are implemented on-site.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience 3+ years as an Electrical Engineer in MEP projects, with expertise in electrical design and system integration.
• Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, etc.).
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Strong understanding of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with project management tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Mandatory
• Dubai Municipality approved certificate.
